When we buy solar panels together, we save!
The Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) has been putting together group solar panel buys throughout the State of Wisconsin and neighboring states. We’re very excited to announce that we–and a handful of neighboring communities–are partnering on Grow Solar Green Bay – Fox Valley.
How does it work?
- It’s simple. In March, MREA requested and received proposals from five experienced solar contractors that met strict criteria for quality and customer service. The proposals were reviewed and the advisory committee voted for Endries Solar and Electrical, a wonderful company from Oostburg, Wis.
- From now through September, we will be working to let people know about this great opportunity. Together with MREA and Oneida, we will be hosting “Solar Power Hours,” so that people have the opportunity to learn more and put questions directly to Endries.
- If people are interested, they can sign up here. They will be contacted by Endries, who will send out an assessor to evaluate the potential of your home or public building for a solar system. They will give you a quote. At this point, there is no commitment.
- The more people who participate in the program, the cheaper the cost will be per kilo Watt. The program area is Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties.
There is a possibility that the 30% tax credit for solar installation will end after 2025, so this is an incredible opportunity for Green Bay residents.
