Introducing the Resilience & Sustainability Hub!

The work of taking care of Green Bay’s air, water, and land, heading off natural disasters, reducing emissions through energy efficiency, and actions related to resilience and sustainability is work that happens across every city department. Many of these are traditional functions of city government, like forestry. Taking great care of the City’s tree canopy is an astonishingly impactful measure to address carbon emissions. This past January, the City formed the Resilience and Sustainability Team which includes members from each city department. The team meets periodically to share new information.

The first ‘product’ of this team is our new Resilience and Sustainability Hub at http://greenbaywi.gov/sustainability. The goal of the Hub is to make information about the City’s resilience and sustainability efforts easier to locate, and to provide additional resources about energy & emissions, water resources, land use, business sustainability, transportation, etc. The Hub just launched this week, it will grow over time.
